This half-day training experience for hospital and health system leaders focuses on increasing understanding of population health concepts and strategies. The program is led by Dr. Kevin Barnett, senior investigator with the Public Health Institute, with participation by other nationally-recognized leaders in health care and population health. The session presents proven, innovative tools to enhance population health strategies to build institutional capacity and alignment, engaging diverse stakeholders to address the social determinants of health, and ways organization board members can play roles in health care transformation.

This special article shares the experiences of board members and senior leaders of hospitals/health system participants of the Alignment of Governance and Leadership in Healthcare program, a collaborative project of the Public Health Institute, The Governance Institute, and Stakeholder Health. The purpose of the AGLH program is to build common vision and practical roadmap on the journey to healthcare transformation through robust engagement of board members.

CACHE's own Kevin Barnett will be leading the Alignment of Governance & Leadership in Healthcare (AGLH) Track - this track focuses on building shared knowledge of population health concepts among senior leaders and board members, and strategies for alignment with key stakeholders across sectors to improve health and well-being in local communities.
